We are currently seeking a high-impact scientist to drive our scientific R&D efforts in the lab, participate in the technical sales and marketing pipeline, and support company strategy.  

About you:

  • Strong scientific background with a specialization in immunology

Responsibilities

  • Scientific
    • Use your technical knowledge to advance in-house R&D initiatives
    • Create publication roadmap (abstract, posters, papers, etc)
    • Support the creation of marketing materials that resonate with scientific decision-makers
    • Primary owner and point of contact for pharma sales pipeline
    • Find and develop collaborative relationships with Immunology experts or others in our field
  • Strategic
    • Drive outbound sales presentations and support the larger team as a subject matter expert
    • Represent the company at conferences and events
    • Provide appropriate scientific, and educational support for cross-functional colleagues

Experience and qualifications

  • Masters or PhD in Immunology or related field, or demonstrated expertise
  • Experience in high-complexity lab environments
  • Nice-to-have: experience in CLIA lab, clinical trial design and implementation, flow cytometry, mass cytometry, single-cell RNA sequencing

Sales Development Representative

We are currently seeking a high-impact Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive our outbound sales and lead generation while supporting the sales and marketing teams.

About you:

  • Outgoing personality with a general interest or background in diagnostics/therapeutics
  • Ability to form and nurture relationships with translational medicine decision making teams (or proven ability to reach scientific decision makers)
  • Motivated to help breakthrough therapies reach patients

Responsibilities

  • Outbound Sales
    • Identify decision makers and generate qualified leads for the technical sales team 
    • Support the sales team preparation for customer meetings
    • Help create new and refine existing marketing materials
    • Form new and nurture existing customer relationships
    • Represent Teiko.bio at industry events
  • Strategic
    • Leverage customer learnings to develop new marketing strategies
    • Drive new outbound initiatives including paid ads and content marketing
    • Find new software tools that help us increase our throughput and quality of qualified meetings
    • Develop best practices for Teiko outbound sales and marketing

Experience and qualifications

  • Bachelors in business, related science field or demonstrated expertise in mastering a complicated subject

Melanoma Clinical Consultant

We started Teiko Bio to use immune insights to help deliver life-changing therapies to those who need them most.  Today, Teiko delivers on its mission by informing clinical decision-making.  By using cutting-edge high-dimensional cytometry, Teiko’s leading assay, the TokuProfile, looks at the immune system of your patients, and predicts which ones are likely to do well. 

Teiko is looking for clinical specialists in melanoma to consult on the development of the TokuProfile for use by oncologists.  Consultation can be on an ad-hoc basis or as part of our formal scientific advisory board.

About you:

  • Have a clinical and practical understanding of melanoma treatments and tests used by physicians 
  • Detail-oriented: understand what makes a good product for physicians
  • Motivated to help breakthrough therapies reach patients
  • Excited to tackle ground-floor challenges and work with seasoned scientists and proven entrepreneurs

Responsibilities:

You would consult with the Teiko.bio medical strategy team on the following topics:

  • Areas of greatest clinical need in daily practice
  • Immune signatures or clinical evidence that would change prescribing behavior
  • Clinical use cases
  • Test outcomes desired by physicians, e.g. projected overall survival, likelihood to respond to treatment, etc.
  • Test report requirements from a clinical perspective, e.g. content, main output and turnaround time
  • Fit of test into NCCN guidelines for melanoma
  • Most appropriate clinical reimbursement strategy 

Qualifications:

  • Interest to help make products successful in clinical practice
  • Medical Degree with more than 3 years of clinical experience
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in medical or hematological oncology 
  • Spend more than 75% of working time on seeing oncology patients
  • See more than 10 unique melanoma patients on a weekly basis

Biopharma Business Development

About you:

  • Either ability to form OR have existing relationships with translational medicine decision making teams; with an initial focus on immunotherapy and cell therapy
  • Motivated to help breakthrough therapies reach patients
  • Excited to tackle ground-floor challenges and work with seasoned scientists and proven entrepreneurs

Responsibilities

  • Identify target customers and decision makers within biopharma organizations
  • Provide introductions to and participate in presentations with target companies
  • Understand overall company strategy to keep marketing materials and value proposition updated
  • Drive the biopharma sales pipeline from identification to close

Experience

  • Ideally, prior experience in diagnostics, immunology, or biopharma, OR proven ability to quickly learn a new domain
  • Practical, working knowledge of modern customer-relationship-management (CRM) tools
  • Proven experience in finding and closing large deals
  • No degree required but knows how to close business

Computational Biologist

Location: Remote

About you:

  • Familiar with single cell or genomics data analysis
  • Motivated to help breakthrough therapies reach patients
  • Excited to tackle ground-floor challenges and work with seasoned scientists and proven entrepreneurs

Responsibilities

  • Develop sample-to-answer workflow
  • Build and test processing pipeline for specimens
  • Design and implement visualizations for high-dimensional cytometry data
  • Work with scientists to implement machine learning algorithms
  • Contribute to product development and customer success

Experience

  • No degree required, but proficiency usually demonstrated by getting a PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, immunology, or related discipline. However, if you don’t have an advanced degree, your resume should demonstrate a mastery of concepts.
  • Practical, working knowledge of modern bioinformatics tools
  • Proficiency in commonly-used languages: Python, R, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to write re-usable “library” code, strongly preferred
  • 2 – 5 years experience in production-level environment
  • Familiarity with large scale “omics” datasets: genomics, cytometry, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience with the analysis of single-cell data
  • Optional:
    • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Oncology Clinical Product Manager

We’re looking for a candidate who has the hunger and drive to bring the clinical TokuProfile to patients and physicians. 

About you

  • Expert understanding of Oncologists: what drugs and tests physicians use, and why
  • Love the details: understand what makes a good product
  • Crisp writer and presenter

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement oncology clinical requirements for TokuProfile, Teiko’s breakthrough immune monitoring test for clinicians
  • Identify the most appropriate clinical reimbursement strategy
  • Learn what ordering physicians want and put that into the test
  • Learn the needs and motivations of third party payers and what drives clinical reimbursement
  • Design our clinical publication roadmap
  • Set up academic collaborations

Qualifications

  • Hunger and willingness to help make products successful in clinical practice
  • There is no degree requirement, but if you don’t have a formal education, you need to demonstrate extensive experience understanding Oncology practice ordering patterns
