Our Team

Our mission is to make immune measurement routine and easy for clinical trials.

Ramji Srinivasan

Cofounder and CEO

Ramji apparently got selective amnesia about startups, since he’s back at it again. He previously cofounded and ran Counsyl as CEO and Chairman from napkin idea to 1M patients served, $150M+ in annualized revenue, profitability, $375M acquisition by Myriad Genetics in 2018. He holds a BS in Computer Science and an MS in Financial Mathematics, both from Stanford. He worked in Morgan Stanley’s Equity Research division, then attended Stanford’s Graduate School of Business program, but then dropped out to start Counsyl.

Li-Chun Cheng, PhD

CSO

Li-Chun earned her PhD in Cell Biology from Columbia University in New York, where she conducted research on neural stem cells in Dr. Fiona Doetsch’s laboratory. Her work uncovered a novel role for microRNA in neuron differentiation, leading to significant advances in the field. After completing her PhD, Li-Chun pursued postdoctoral research with Dr. Alejandro Sánchez Alvarado at the renowned Stowers Institute, further investigating stem cell biology. Prior to joining Teiko, she served as a staff scientist at Scripps Research in San Diego, where she pioneered innovative methods for the quantitative proteomic analysis of membrane proteins in stem cells. Her publications have garnered over 3,000 citations, highlighting the broad impact of her scientific contributions.

Justin Jarrell, PhD

Chief Commercial Officer

A serial leader in biotech, Justin previously served as VP of Research at Indee Labs, where he led R&D and partnerships, securing contracts with top 10 pharma companies and winning two NIH Phase I SBIR grants. His work focused on applying new microfluidics technologies to expedite cell therapy manufacturing. Justin completed his PhD in Immunology at Stanford University in the lab of William Robinson, publishing the first report of a novel anti-cytokine autoantibody in IgG4-related disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and lupus, which revealed a new mechanism of pathogenesis and supported the potential repurposing of an FDA-approved therapeutic. With 17 publications, Justin’s expertise spans T and B cell mechanisms, biomarkers, and proteomics.

Kristina Magee, MD, PhD

Associate Director, Lab Operations

Kristina earned her MD-PhD from the University of Bern, studying differentiation therapies for acute myeloid leukemia. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Professor Jared Rutter’s lab, focusing on mitochondrial metabolism. Now at Teiko, Kristina combines her passion for blood and the immune system with her expertise in translational research. She is dedicated to optimizing Teiko’s platform and providing drug developers with a microscopic, data-rich view of their clinical trial patient's immune system to ultimately advance deep immune monitoring and increase trial success.

Gage Black, PhD

Bioinformatics Scientist

Gage is a Bioinformatics Scientist with a PhD in Human Genetics from the University of Utah and a BS in Bioinformatics from BYU. He brings over eight years of experience in computational biology, where he has used genetic sequencing and single-cell technologies to study cancer evolution and genetic risk factors for neurodegenerative diseases.

Carly Lancaster, PhD

Scientist

Carly is a cell and molecular biologist with over 8 years of research experience in neuroscience and oncology. She has 6 publications and 18 presentations, showcasing expertise in RNA metabolism and neurodevelopment. Carly has led successful projects, mentored junior scientists, and earned prestigious fellowships, including an NIH F31 grant.

Rachel Borshchenko

Business Development Manager

Rachel Borshchenko joined Teiko in 2022 and is currently a Business Development Manager, supporting biopharma partners with high-dimensional immune profiling. Prior to Teiko, she gained clinical research experience at UCSF and Mount Sinai. Rachel holds dual BAs in Biology and Jewish Ethics from Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary.

Hannah Selken

Sales Development Representative

Hannah Selken holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California. She brings entrepreneurial experience from founding Swim with Selken, where she designed tailored water safety programs for swimmers of all ages. With a background in marketing, technology policy, and project management, Hannah is passionate about bridging the gap between complex science and clear, impactful communication.

Angelynn Huang

Sales Development Representative

Angelynn Huang holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering with an emphasis in Electrical Engineering from USC. She brings experience in data analysis and manufacturing from her time at Medtronic, where she led process development and quality improvement initiatives that resulted in thousands of dollars in cost savings. She has also led UI/UX design projects—including a pre-diabetes detection app—and managed digital sales and marketing campaigns for the chain department store Curacao.

Kailey Mullins

Sales Development Representative

Kailey Mullins previously interned at Gilead Sciences and CareDx, gaining experience in quality assurance, lab operations, and built a database to manage legacy documentation. She also worked at Outlier AI, training models to improve biological accuracy. As part of her master’s, she is conducting CRISPR research on the p53 pathway in cancer. Kailey holds a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Neuroscience from the University of San Francisco and is completing her Professional Science Master’s in Biotechnology.

Matt Spitzer, PhD

Scientific Cofounder

Matt completed his training in Immunology at Stanford University in the laboratories of Garry Nolan and Edgar Engleman. There, he developed experimental and analytical methods to model the state of the immune system using high dimensional single-cell data. At Stanford, he also developed new strategies for inducing powerful immune responses against cancer. Matt moved to UCSF in the summer of 2016 as a UCSF Parker Fellow and a Sandler Faculty Fellow and is now an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Microbiology & Immunology and an investigator of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy.
